Winding

Winding

Filament winding is a process used to produce storage tanks, pipes, pressure vessels, and other round products that require a high degree of structural integrity.

Filament winding is the process of winding resin-impregnated glass or high-grade fibers on a rotating mandrel to form a composite structure. By using different fibers and resins in combination with various winding techniques, filament winding produces a high fiber load with directional strength characteristics. The composite product produced by the filament winding process has excellent strength. The process is the production of sailing masts, large diameter storage tanks, pressure vessels, cement mixers, pipelines, natural gas cylinders and many other products.
